Biography

Markus had interest in the FX field long before he even realized it was a career option. He started making masks and costumes to put on small shows for family and friends which also lead him to another passion, Acting. Markus became a successful young actor with many stage shows under his belt as well as small TV and commercial debuts. This is where Markus really discovered his love of the entertainment industry. He began volunteering with small props and set projects until the age of 19. he was hired on by “Hammer Entertainment” and was given the title of Technical Director, Markus designed and built sets, props and backdrops while heading up a crew of workers. This wasn’t enough for Markus so he decided to go back to school at the Sheridan Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning for their Advanced Special effects program. He also began working on independent films, creating costumes and props, as well as blood effects. Markus found his niche and began carving out the beginnings of a great and lucrative career. Being one of the top students in his class and gaining industry experience with great work studios such as Hall Train Studios and Stefaniuk FX he learned a lot about the industry and what it takes to be amongst the best. Now Markus is a well rounded and experienced FX artist with strong proficiencies in sculpting, mold making and painting and theres no telling where this talented young man will end up next.
